I conducted a 4-day in-person workshop at Douzan, a non-profit organization in Gaziantep, Turkey, to teach 7 Syrian participants the art of blending electronic music with the rich tradition of maqaam.

 

This intensive workshop was followed by a month-long online mentorship program to further support the participants' musical journey.

 

The culmination of this collaborative effort was a full album featuring 7 original tracks, each created by a different participant. This workshop was made possible with the support of Ableton.
